Composite and plastic filling instruments, also referred to as placement instruments, are specifically crafted for inserting and shaping flexible restorative materials into cavity preparations and various dental procedures.

The flat, blunt blades of this double-ended tool are specifically designed for shaping and removing excess filling material from a tooth. While one end is similar to a wards carver, the other end is made of flat plastic, making it easily distinguishable when placed side by side.
