Sharpening stones are to be used for manual sharpening. As natural stones, veining and chromatic irregularities are possible. Use medium grain stones to sharpen very blunt tools or for tools that are not properly sharpened.

After using medium grain stones it is necessary to go over with fine grain stones. Use fine-grained stones to maintain sharpness or to remove small burrs. For sharpening we recommend using a few drops of oil.

During the sharpening of the instruments, the metal residues removed tend to block the pores of the stones. It is advisable to periodically clean the stones with a few drops of lubricating oil by spreading it on the surface.

Remove metal residues with gauze. Before proceeding with the sterilization operations of the stones it is recommended to clean them with ultrasound or with a non-metallic brush.
